DESCRIPTION:This exhibit is a love letter to all things found, old, rusty, abandoned, decayed, and forgotten. An archaeologist by trade, Kathryn Whitson first learned to draw artifacts with pen and ink in order to illustrate technical reports. After her retirement Whitson picked up various watercolor techniques to add color to her drawings, opening up a whole new world of possibilities for depicting the unusual objects and encounters from which she draws inspiration. Opening Reception Friday, September 6, 2024 4 - 6 p.m. The Gallery is open during the reception. Gallery Hours The Henderson Fine Arts Center Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and during most events in the Henderson Performance Hall.
