The Harvest Food Hub helps you buy, sell, and distribute fresh, local food across Northwest New Mexico. We connect growers and food producers with customers and make it easier for schools, businesses, and families to access local food.
Who Is the Harvest Food Hub For?
Are you a customer, a farmer, a value-added producer, or a wholesale buyer? Start with the section that fits you.
- Customers: Buy local food, through Farm Box, or at the storefront.
- Farmers: Sell your products through the Food Hub and reach new markets.
- Value-Added Producers: Create, manufacture, and sell products with help from the Harvest Kitchen and business resources.
- Wholesale Buyers & Institutions: Purchase fresh, local food for schools, hospitals, restaurants, and organizations.

Buy fresh, local food directly from growers and producers across the region.
Ways to shop:
- Harvest Market (Storefront): Shop fresh produce, meats, and value-added products during the growing season. Opening June 2026.
Location: 310 W. Animas Street, Farmington, NM - Farm Box: A weekly curated box featuring seasonal produce from local growers. Check back in April for details and sign-up information.
Want to use the Harvest Kitchen?
You can also rent the Harvest Kitchen, a licensed shared commercial kitchen designed for approved food production and preparation.
For Farmers and Growers
Sell through the Harvest Food Hub
If you grow produce in Northwest New Mexico and want to reach more customers, sell through the Harvest Food Hub. We help you move beyond direct sales by connecting you with retail, wholesale, and institutional buyers.
When you sell through the Harvest Food Hub, you can access:
- Central aggregation and distribution support
- Connections to wholesale buyers, including schools, restaurants, and institutions
- Retail opportunities through the storefront and Farm Box
- Food safety and market-readiness guidance
- Marketing and promotion for your farm and products

Food safety training and guidance
Farm food safety training and guidance are available as needed. To request support, email harvest@sanjuancollege.edu.
Turn your harvest into a value-added product
If you want to turn your produce into sauces, baked goods, preserved foods, or other value-added products, you can use the Harvest Kitchen, which includes commercial-grade equipment such as processors, slicers, shredders, purée equipment, chili roasters, and oil presses.
For Value-Added Producers
Produce, permit, and sell your products
If you make packaged or prepared foods, the Harvest Food Hub can help you produce, permit, and sell your products.
As a value-added producer, you can:
- Rent licensed kitchen space to manufacture food products
- Sell products through the Harvest Food Hub, including online sales and storefront resale
- Get help with business planning, marketing plans, and sales strategies
- Receive guidance on food permitting and compliance requirements
- Every food product requires proper permitting. Support is available to help you understand and complete the permits needed to sell your products.

Use the Harvest Kitchen
The Harvest Kitchen is FDA approved and provides licensed space for safe, compliant food production. Equipment includes:
- Large 40-quart mixers
- Double convection oven
- Honey extractor
- Commercial processing and prep equipment

For Wholesale Buyers and Institutions
Buy local food for your organization
If you represent a school, hospital, restaurant, or organization, you can purchase fresh, local food through the Harvest Food Hub during the growing season.
The Food Hub offers:
- Weekly ordering and scheduled delivery
- Seasonal availability lists
- One invoice for multiple producers
- Traceability and food-safety compliance support
