As we bid farewell to another academic year, I extend heartfelt congratulations to our graduates.
Graduation is an accomplishment that everyone shares in celebrating – from our faculty and staff to your family and friends. Your resilience and commitment have been remarkable, and we are proud of your accomplishments.
I invite you to read the story about our student graduation speaker, Christina Marquez. Marquez is graduating with her associate’s degree in criminal justice, and we are honored to be a part of her educational journey. I am also proud to announce this year’s commencement keynote speaker, Senator Steve Neville, who will offer an encouraging and positive message to graduates.
Additionally, I would like to congratulate the class of 2024 San Juan College High School students on their graduation. These students earn an associate degree from San Juan College while concurrently receiving a high school diploma from Farmington Municipal Schools within a four-year timeframe.
In addition to our graduates, we have numerous successes to celebrate throughout this issue. We are pleased to earn once again the distinction as a Military Friendly® School, which recognizes the support we provide our veteran students. Our Veteran Center is honored to serve those who have served our country and their families. We are also happy to highlight the inspiring story of SJC graduate Seth Herring as he embarks on a new career at Intel.
We are also looking forward to another KSJE Zero Mile Fun Run. All proceeds from this event benefit the community-supported KSJE 90.9 FM. Learn about this fun event and upcoming Henderson Fine Arts Center Art Gallery shows.
Thank you to all San Juan College employees and students for making this another successful academic year. To our graduates - as you embark on new journeys, I hope you will have fond memories of your experiences here at San Juan College. We are extremely proud of you!
