San Juan College continues its commitment to advancing student success through ongoing improvement of the Guided Pathways framework, a nationwide initiative that aims to enhance students’ college journey and prepare them for success in employment or the next stage of their education.
This year, SJC was selected as one of 16 community colleges in the Rural Guided Pathways Project Cohort to strengthen efforts on Guided Career Pathways. This three-year project is unique in two ways. First, it focuses on rural institutions’ needs. Second, it involves
deep collaboration with employers, K-12 partners, and other community partners. From the beginning of the pathway design, the role
of these partners ensures that the educational standards and curriculum are aligned with industry requirements and our K-12 partners.
By focusing on rural aspects and collaborating closely with community partners, San Juan College is boosting efforts to generate economic opportunities for students and the region.
