San Juan College (SJC) is proud to have achieved outstanding performance in state and national surveys, reaffirming its position as a leader in education and workplace excellence.
According to rankings by NICHE, a well-respected school and college search engine, SJC was rated as the #1 Community College in New Mexico and claimed the 38th spot among 922 community colleges nationwide. NICHE’s rigorous evaluation draws upon academic, admissions, financial and student life data provided by the U.S. Department of Education, along with feedback from San Juan College students and alumni.
WalletHub, a platform dedicated to helping individuals improve their financial well-being, has recognized San Juan College as the 16th-best community college in the United States. These rankings result from a comprehensive assessment, combining individual scores in categories such as Cost and Financing, and Educational and Career Outcomes. Notably, in the Cost and Financing category, SJC earned an impressive second place nationally, highlighting its commitment to providing accessible and affordable high-quality education.
In addition to these accolades, SJC is pleased to share the results of the spring 2022 National Survey for Community Colleges conducted by the Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE). In this survey, 98 percent of SJC students randomly chosen to complete the study stated they would recommend San Juan College to a friend or family member.
San Juan College’s dedication to excellence extends beyond education, as noted in recognition by Family Friendly New Mexico – a statewide initiative that honors companies adopting family-friendly policies. SJC has proudly held this distinction since 2017 and has now received the Platinum level recognition for the third consecutive year, the highest honor bestowed by the initiative.
