Why did you choose San Juan College?
"I was a student at San Juan College High School and was given the opportunity to attend San Juan College. My family really pushed me to complete a dual credit degree and this was a big factor in me attending San Juan College. Being the older brother I wanted to set a good example for my siblings and I felt that this was a wonderful opportunity to do so!"
What did you do to prepare for your career?
"So far I have had a variety of internships to expand my skillsets. These internships have really helped shape me into the person I have wanted to become. Another huge thing for me is networking. I have attended a variety of leadership programs in which I was connected with many different people with different backgrounds."
What advice would you give to future graduates?
"It is hard in the beginning but with consistency and hard work anything is possible. There was one semester I had to take 21 credit hours of nothing but math and physics. Although it seemed impossible at the time, through hard work and dedication (and a couple long nights) I was able to surpass this hurdle and graduate with my degree!"
What was your fondest memory at San Juan College?
"There are too many to count! From traveling with the Esports team to different competitions and leading my team to a third place finish in state to racing my favorite professor (Dr. Johnson) in a mile race. I have had so many great memories that I will never forget at SJC!"
